Employers have a legal duty under section 2(2)(c) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 to provide the information, instruction, training and supervision needed to ensure the health and safety of their employees. Regulation 13 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 adds a duty to provide adequate training when employees are recruited and when they are exposed to new or increased risks.

These duties apply across England, Wales and Scotland, and Northern Ireland has equivalent duties under the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978. Our courses will help employers anywhere in the UK meet them and give employees recognised certificates.

Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day)

Meets the training needs of workplace first aiders in lower-risk workplaces, supporting employers’ duties under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. Also the first aid qualification required before SIA Door Supervisor and Security Officer training.

Fire Safety / Fire Marshal

Helps employers and duty-holders meet their fire safety training duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (England and Wales), Part 3 of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006, and the Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010.

Safe lifting and handling techniques, supporting compliance with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.
